I gave the shop the go ahead to replace the clutch. All I can do now is lube my anus and hope that the flywheel isn't shot.

Dude, for $2900 did you dicker? I called around and I got $1200 at a few places. Clutch kit at turner motorsports is $250

That sucks, man. You are one dedicated E36 owner. Next time my clutch goes out, I think I'm done.

Possibly providing a whole new meaning to "sit and spin".

Is that just the clutch or is that the full kit?

Full kit
even better, for 279 you can have an OE Sachs kit from them. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-4185-clutch-…
I actually forget if you have a 325 or 328, but here is the full listing. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/c-27-bmw-oem-b…

I still have to do my shocks and springs...

At the very least it will need to be resurfaced. Is the stocker iron or aluminum?

Dual mass, I have no idea what it's made out of

Yeah, that's just the clutch.
This is basically what they're replacing on my car.

What! Might as well just buy a new engine too, then you're basically going to have a new E36.

Just saw that it can't be resurfaced. Good luck dude. Looks like you may need to spread your cheeks and lift your sack.

My engine is actually really nice. I could use a new body though...

there is an installation kit for $160 right under the product listing that has all the good stuff in that minus a clutch slave. I would do the main seals, maybe the selector shaft seal. But those take all of 5 minutes a piece to yank out and replace correctly

They're doing all of that, and my slave is looking crusty.
Salt kills man.

That's the most difficult part to replace...

I heard chassis swaps are really hard.

"Money" is my least favorite song on that album.
Based on this info, you're going to need a new flywheel.

My G35 needs a clutch as well. But as long as it moves, I can wait. I expect ~$1,200.

You're not the only one!

It's made of unobtainium, bustalloy and, worst of all, expensolite....
